Northern Territory Airports selected Xcellerate IT to provide a complete automated invoice processing solution that seamlessly integrates with TechnologyOne Financials.
With over 2.4 million arriving, departing and transit passengers every year, Northern Territory (NT) Airports is the ultimate parent of the group that owns Darwin International Airport and Alice Springs Airport.
NT Airports will implement a centralized solution for accounts payable automation using Kofax Capture to scan and extract invoice header information in their office in Darwin. The solution will seamlessly integrate with TechnologyOne Financials whereby the exceptions can be routed for approval, leveraging on the advanced workflow functionality with TechnologyOne Financials.
NT Airports will implement Xcellerate IT’s Invoice Automation solutions - Kofax Capture, Kofax Transformation Module (KTM) and VirtualReScan (VRS) - to capture supplier invoices and related financial documents as soon as they are received at the 2 airports.
The images will be indexed at the Accounts Payable department in Darwin and routed to a repository for easy access. The Xcellerate IT’s solution will then automatically extract key information, do look-ups in TechnologyOne Financials and validate data before it is released into NT Airports’ systems for authorisation and approval.

The invoice automation solution will enable NT Airports to automate and standardise document capture, decreasing manual operations and gaining full control of its supplier invoice processing. Improved visibility of invoices, supported by powerful reporting tools, ensures compliance with governance and regulatory obligations are met as well as clear visibility of cash management.
The current method followed by NT Airports personnel of physically retrieving invoices for reference will become obsolete. All future financial documents will be available immediately and on demand, as an electronic image against each transaction within the TechnologyOne Financials.
