R-Forms

R-Forms, formerly PDF Wizard, is a software tool that gives J.D. Edwards' OneWorld™ (now Oracle/PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne) customers the ability to improve the look of all print output. R-Forms analyses any OneWorld PDF output file and passes the data directly to Adobe Central Output Server. The output of the R-forms is used with Adobe Output Designer and Adobe Central Pro Output Server to create the most advanced electronic documents available. You gain total control of your output, in most cases with no changes to the OneWorld Programs or Report Writer. WEB Enable, E-mail, Print, Fax and Archive can be fully automated.

How R-Forms Works

Once R-Forms reads the PDF file, all the PDF constants and variable data are displayed in the Analyzer Table. The person designing the Output can then determine, by making entries in the table, if the fields or constants are to be a part of the Output. OneWorld Data Dictionary automatically read by R-Forms making the design of your output automatic.

R-Forms creates a special file called a FIF (Form Interchange File). The FIF is imported into Adobe Present Output Designer, which automatically places all the fields on the Form, replicating the work already done in the OneWorld Report Design. This feature reduces the manual work normally required to design a form by 30 to 90%.
