The Kofax Implementation approach would be to follow our XIT PSG (Professional Service Group) methodology starting with a detailed review of the system requirements, then presenting the results and findings in a CSD (Customer Solution Description) user signoff and acceptance. Next, a project plan is finalised and work would begin according to the implementation schedule.
Key provisions for our CSD are the following items:
- List of key contacts for the entire project team
- Estimated implementation schedule
- Overview of project objectives
- Functional requirements with details
- Assumptions
- Customer and Xcellerate IT responsibilities
- Payment terms
XIT PSG Implementation Plan
XIT PSG treats the requirements phase as a standalone project. After signoff, we proceed to the full implementation based on the CSD goals. Xcellerate IT assigns an experienced project manager to oversee and coordinate all resources needed for the project. The project manager has access to all departments within Xcellerate IT including development engineering, testing and quality assurance, product management, and technical support.
The project manager creates the project plan to identify the critical path. He/she is the primary contact at Xcellerate IT and will schedule regular status check-ups to keep the project on track. This role is critical to the success of the project.
A properly trained local systems administrator is needed for an application to perform well. While Kofax Capture and e5 run with little required maintenance, a local resource can resolve simple questions that arise. Also this individual can provide quality input to higher level support groups. Our proposal calls for Xcellerate IT to provide onsite local training for up to 4 people. This class will provide all the information necessary to feel comfortable in the administration of the Kofax and e5 transformation and workflow Modules.
